Substance Abuse Services

IBH conducts an Intensive Outpatient (IOP) program for clients struggling with substance abuse.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Level 2.1

IBH’s IOP addresses the root cause of substance abuse issues and aims to enhance every aspect of life – mind, body, and soul. Our program is open to individuals 13 years of age and older, with a substance abuse diagnosis. The program aims to equip participants with practical tools to enhance their mental, emotional, and social wellness.

Along with supporting the individual, our team provides support and guidance for families to know how to best help their loved ones. We also collaborate with the client’s primary care physician, therapist, and other providers.

Admission Criteria

To qualify for the program, participants must have either a substance abuse diagnosis or a referral from a hospital or primary care.

Program Structure

Our IOP is a 6-12 week program which meets for a minimum of 3 hours per day. We work with participants to develop a personalized treatment plan based on their specific needs. The program incorporates group and individual therapy, wellness sessions, and coaching as needed to best serve the participant.

Please call our office for more details on the program schedule if you are interested in attending the program or referring a client.

How is the IOP different from standard outpatient and inpatient substance abuse programs?

An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) combines aspects of both inpatient and standard outpatient programs.

IOPs provide a higher level of care and structure than standard outpatient programs. However, IOPs also require a larger time commitment than outpatient programs.

In contrast, IOPs provide a similar level of care to inpatient services. Unlike inpatient services, clients do not live at a treatment facility or receive 24-hour monitoring in IOPs. Instead, clients receive intensive treatment while still being able to live at home.
