Therapeutic Services
We offer behavioral health services in several formats. Clients meet with our team for an initial intake appointment to discuss their concerns and decide which format makes the most sense for them.
Individual Therapy
Clients receive individual therapy sessions with their assigned therapist. In these sessions clients can explore issues and process their recovery in a safe, judgment-free atmosphere.
Couples Therapy
Couples receive joint therapy sessions with their assigned therapist. In these sessions clients can explore issues impacting their relationship and each person individually and work towards better understanding and supporting each other.
Family Therapy
One or more family therapy sessions are offered as needed at IBH. This program is intended to include essential people in the treatment process, such as a significant other, child, parent, sibling, friend, or employer for the support aspect. This program is educational and therapeutic with respect to helping loved ones understand the process of chemical dependency and how to implement healthy coping strategies — especially when feelings of anxiety and fear arise. Family participation increases chances for recovery, so we ask all clients to encourage family members and/or loved ones to take part. Clients discuss insights into the working aspect of relationships and areas where changes may occur.
Support Groups
Therapists facilitate group sessions to create a safe space for participants to share their experiences and receive support from others who are going through similar issues. In these meetings, participants are encouraged to explore their feelings and work together to develop coping strategies.
IBH currently runs group sessions for:
- Psychodrama
- Individuals dealing with grief
- Illness and symptom management
- HIV-Positive men
- Mothers who have lost children to violence or other extraordinary circumstances
